Colleges are back in session and we’re gearing up for a full fall program at CVM Canada! I’m excited to visit our student fellowship groups, and connect with many professionals, over the next few weeks. Find us at: WCVM (Oct 3rd), UCVM (Oct 16th), AVC (Oct 23rd), and OVC (Oct 27th).
We’ll be at the CanWest Conference in Banff, Oct 18-20th, and out to the Real Life Real Impact Atlantic retreat, Oct 24-25th! There’s still time for you to register to join us at RLRI – have a look at our schedule, speakers, and session information here. Registration closes October 10th.
In our CVM staff devotions this week, coworker Bethany led us in a study of Psalm 107. In it, David reminded the people of the unwavering and constant love of the Lord, even as they walked through a host of troubling times: from destitute longing to imprisonment, the shadow of death, rebellion, sin and darkness, and raging storms. Sounds a bit like today, to me. There are many difficult and disturbing things going on in our world. So I encourage you, like Bethany encouraged me, to give Psalm 107 a read this week. To remember that God is faithful when we call out to him in our distress. And to always…give thanks, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever (Ps. 107:1).
