Thinking on our theme of Gratitude, today I’m so thankful for each volunteer within CVM Canada – whether you are a:
- student leader who shepherds one of our four vibrant school fellowships
- veterinary professional who leads a fellowship group for spiritual growth
- financial supporter who keeps our operating costs paid up
- mentor who guides individually and teaches on short-term missions or at our retreat
- tech or admin master who helps with our website and other behind-the-scenes needs
- board member who sets the direction and culture of the organization
- missions participant or helper in any other way!
In many respects, we in CVM Canada are a small iteration of the body of Christ. Our abilities and capacities differ, yet each is needed to complete the work of the Whole. For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ (Romans 12:4-5a). I’m grateful today for each of you who serves to fulfill the mission of meeting a world in need with the love of Jesus, through veterinary medicine.
A couple of reminders this month – please pray for Real Life Real Impact Saskatchewan, happening February 13-15 at Shekinah Retreat Centre near Saskatoon. And remember our UCVM student mission trip to Mexico February 16-23!
Serving together,
Lisa

Missions Impact: Beyond All Expectations
by Dr. Lena and Patrick Wensel
Through the efforts of His people, God sometimes goes beyond all expectations in accomplishing his purposes. In Tanzania, short-term volunteers are working together with long-term field workers and Tanzanian veterinarians to proclaim the message of Christ through veterinary medicine!
